Well pick my peas yall! 2011 is coming to an end!

Before I begin our year end wrap-up, I have to give credit where credit is due and that is to my sweet, sweet Lord! Without His blessings Tamara Menges Designs would cease to exist.

Now for all thats gone down this year…

Our biggest change this year was changing our business name from

to…

That decision, I fully believe was the best one I made for my sweet little business!

If you would have told me this time last year what all would unfold with Tamara Menges Designs in 2011, I would probably would have just stared at you with blank disbelief.

The year started off with my very first styled shoot with Sarah e. Evans Photography.

From this very simple shoot, the “bug” bit me! From that point forward I threw myself in this world of sitting behind a computer for countless hours dreaming up future shoots, and during the first few hours when a concept entered my head I could do nothing more than focus on that idea and expand upon it.

From there I designed, contributed, and participated in an amazing number of shoots that I need more than two hands to count! I can’t put into words how much I love designing and seeing a concept come to life.

5 Of those shoots were published on National blogs! (one was published on 2 blogs)

Wedding Chicks…..Southern Weddings Daily Blog…. Wedding Wire….Groom Sold SeperatelyWedding Wire again…and I Love Farm Weddings!

Another exciting publishing was our very first PRINT publication!                                       This was huge for us (in the business sense) and me (personally). There is nothing like holding a glossy (fancy word for magazine) in your hands and seeing your name and work on the pages.

My sweet husband had the magazine article framed for me as well!

I continued to build on existing relationships with many of my favorite vendors and also established relationships with others including, but not limited to Christa Elyce Photography, Recollection Vintage Rentals, Archetype Studio Inc,  Two Be Wed, A Style Collected.

I am so excited to have met these fabulous vendors in the Houston area, please check out their facebook pages and tell them I sent ya!

As far as weddings, TMD had fabulous growth from 3 weddings in 2010 to                             10 weddings this year in 2011!!

Some of the weddings were contracted through other vendors where I provided just floral design, and others were more in depth and I had the pleasure of working very closely with the brides and their families and of course giving them the description of                           “my brides”.

My primary goal is to make each and every bride feel special and taken care of regardless of how many of my services they take advantage of.

Some of our marketing endeavors include:

Our name on a billboard! Have you seen it?!

On Fannett road coming from Beaumont on the left side of the highway!

I signed an advertising contract with Weddings in Houston Magazine and are so excited to see our new ad in all 6 issues in 2012!

And another fantastic accomplishment is that I was accepted into Cambridge Who’s Who Among Executives, Professionals, and Entrepreneurs!

For 2012 I have some super (I mean SUPER) branding already in place.

Do you want to know what it is?! Book a consultation and find out!

I am so thankful to everyone who has supported Tamara Menges Designs this past year.    I (personally) would like to thank my loving husband who seriously does anything I ask or need, my mom, grandma, all my brides, and the vendors I have had the pleasure of working with!

I am confident that Tamara Menges Designs will continue to grow in 2012, as the Lord continually opens doors in the form of new clients and exciting opportunities!

God bless you and your family in 2012,                                                                                      and if ya know anyone getting married send them our way!

xoxo, Tamara
