Hey y’all!

Sometimes husbands a bunch (or sleeve) of flowers from a local grocery store, and bring them home to their wife for Valentines, so today we are showing you how to arrange those flowers to create a beautiful arrangement!

I purchased a “wildflower” mix, a “bunch” (what we florist call a set, if you will of flowers) of alstromeria (a very common flower found at most grocery stores, they live forever!) and a bunch of gerber daisies. I’m usually not a fan of gerber daisies, but these had a fun personality with fringed petals.

You’re going to cut open the plastic sleeves all the way, so you don’t have to “pull” the flowers out. Most packages come with some flower food that gives the flowers nutrients, and supposedly make them last longer. However, if it’s not included don’t fret- good ‘ole water will keep them healthy.

Begin by taking each stem individually and giving it a fresh cut, longer than you think it should be or hold it up to your vessel and eye-ball the length to cut it to. There are no rules here, so just continue to cut each stem and place them in your water filled vase, one-by-one until your vase starts to fill out.
