Afternoon yall!
This past sunday my super cool friend Sarah with Sarah e. Evans Photography shot our perfect “Simply Southern” styled shoot! We have had it planned for many weeks, but as day after day went on I thought my head would explode from pure southern belle-ness! (pretty sure I just made up a new word!) Anyway, if you could possibly get a peek of how many messages we sent back and forth to each other, you would think I was crazy! I love working with bride’s and making their dreams come to life, BUT theres something just plain fun about designing an entire look from my own ideas, and not needing to ask my client if its what they want! It’s what I want in a sense that what I want is to bring fresh new ideas to YOU! I went with a peach color pallete, all because of one peach chair that was in my childhood home! From that single chair I specifically picked my fabrics, flowers and accessories to compliment that one fun chair!
Heres my styleboard I put together! Sarah had the most awesome idea of incorporating other vendors we work with, so I submitted it to them to be inspired for whatever they wanted to come up with.
We had beautiful stationary and other accessories provided by K& K Designs- It’s a Hit Events! They completely exceeded my expectations. The cake we had designed by This Cake’s For You- Dena McClendon, and she went off of the milk glass. Beaumont Catering Company provided two of our desserts, peach cobbler and pecan pie, and let me use a beautiful beverage urn to hold some sweet iced provided by my sweet husband General Manager of the BEST restaurant around, McAlister’s Deli! My mom brought down from Tyler with her, piece after piece of beautiful vintage dishes, and spectacular pieces of milk glass! She also made the banana pudding, and her van was transport central! Sarah had the dresses and jewelry for our “bride” and I picked up other accessories for a “groom”!
Thank the Lord that it worked out for my mom to come down to visit for a few days, because she was the main transportation, of all things pretty, in the back of her van! Theres a full size dining table, and rolling table of sorts (that was quite heavy!), a Louis chair, the inspirational peach wing back chair, and a white ladderback chair that I white washed! Oh and ALL the arrangements that I made fresh about an hour before loading up! That was tricky packing them so the milk glass wouldnt break or the fresh flowers wouldn’t get squashed! Lots and lots of towels between the pieces my friends!
My car was also loaded with two more chairs I covered with a complimentary fabric, extra floral, and boxes of accessories for the tables, and our models!
Heres a picture of the craziness! If you add a little glitter and a few rhinestones this is what the inside of my head looks like! Plus there was more!
Our beautiful couple, and Sarah’s trying to secure the dress!
My mom and I at around 945 that night at hubby’s restaurant, I hadnt eaten since early that morning! I was famished!
Sarah is currently working on editing, and other projects with the photos! She is waiting to release them for a few weeks! We both can NOT wait to show yall our work! In the mean time check out her blog www.saraheevansphotography.com and tell her I sent ya!
