Oh Happy Day y’all!
The day is finally here! I have been working on a very special project for the past few months, and it’s finally time to share it with you!
I love workshops. I love being surrounded by other entrepreneurs who are making the most of their business, who push me to be and do better. There are so many workshops out there and each one is unique and beneficial in it’s own way. Honestly, if I could, I would probably go to every single one!
I also love learning, I love meeting other creatives who have a burning passion for their craft just like me, and I love being inspired. You wouldn’t believe how many ideas I have gotten from listening to different speakers, and then implemented them into TMD.
So, why am I putting on my own workshop when I can just attend others?
Well, as much as I love learning, I love sharing and teaching too. I love opening myself up and sharing lessons I learned the hard way. I love pushing others to do big things in their life and helping them to realize that they are capable if they are willing to put in the work. And I love inspiring others so they too can have those “lightbulb” ideas that will hopefully be implemented into their businesses.
This is why I decided to create Blossom.
Because of my above “loves” I felt God was telling me to host my own workshop. As usual though, I told Him “no one would come”, “I don’t know enough”, etc. If it was a plausible excuse, I used it. But I felt like He kept telling me to give it a try. I finally surrendered, and said “do with it what You plan”. I moved forward with planning.
I began to reach out to potential speakers for Blossom, and wanted each of them to have a heart for entrepreneurs like me. Speakers who loved to see others succeed in the craziness of owning a business, who are authentic in their own brands and could translate how accomplish that into accessible shared knowledge to each of our attendees.
I have been working with Kathryn Duckett, Kristin of Southern Weddings, Natalie Dawley, and Shanna Skidmore for quite some time as I have been creating the idea behind Blossom, and I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am they will each be speaking and sharing some truly invaluable information with us.
Some of the amazing topics we will cover will be identifying your purpose, intentional branding, living out your mission statement, staying true to your brand, and being profitable.
Some of you may wonder the meaning behind the name Blossom. Since I was a kid I have been blessed with family and friends commenting how I have “bloomed” or “blossomed” in one way or another. I always felt such a sense of pride when someone would say this to me, because flowers don’t bloom without proper tending to. It takes God, and work from gardeners and Mother Nature to make it happen. They have be nourished, fed, watered, etc. The same goes for growth in us, whether that’s personally or professionally.
It’s so humbling to look at past projects and weddings to see where I first began as just a tiny seed. To see where nurturing and tending has brought me, and to get excited of what’s yet to come. It’s also fun to see how the TMD brand has evolved and been carried out these past (almost) five years.
That’s the heart behind Blossom and it’s name. I want to reach others the way I have been reached, I want stand alongside other creatives as they tend their own brand, and learn what’s best for their business, to give them tools and encouragement that they can continually come back to. I want to help others Blossom.
So without further adieu, I introduce you to Blossom. A workshop where brands bloom.
I sure do hope to see you in January!
xoxo, Tamara
