Hi friends!
I am giddy with excitement to share Kerrington Snow’s second birthday party that is full of ice cream with y’all today!
For her first birthday I kind of went all out as most do, and the day of I ran around like a crazy person and didn’t really get to enjoy much of the party or the friends and family that were there to celebrate our little girl! If you missed her first birthday, you can check it out here!
I was running around with the photographer making sure to get all the shots I wanted because I was submitting them to a party magazine (which ironically is on stands now! Mingle Magazine, 4 images from her party are in the new issue, Praise Him!)
This year I wanted to be more relaxed, both for my sanity and to be present with those who came to our new home. Sanity related because we finally moved into out new home just 2 days before her party, and being more present because well that’s self explanatory!
I went with an ice cream theme, and could not believe how many decorations I randomly found at Target, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby! I’ve never noticed so much ice cream related decor in previous years, but perhaps it was the Lord giving me options for cute decor so I wouldn’t have to stress about making too much stuff! π I’m going to go with that!
I took all the pictures myself which is why there aren’t many of people since I put my camera away once everyone arrived and the party was underway, but I did make sure we got a family photo!
The only thing I “crafted” were the ice cream cones hanging from the ceiling, the rest was all party decor found at the stores I mentioned above! Be on the lookout for a tutorial on those! π
I also made the ice cream cookies and an ice cream cone cupcake fail (not pictured!), but the cake I bought at HEB grocery store and added the “melted ice cream” with frosting myself! P.S. Best birthday cake ever, what is it about grocery store cakes?
Sweet, simple, intentional. So grateful for our sweet 2 year old, and that to be blessed to be able to celebrate her with friends and family.
Happy Wednesday friends!
xoxo, Tamara
This is adorable. Did you serve food too? Think I might have to borrow this idea! Happy birthday to your girl!
Thank you Vanessa! My husband is the General Manager of McAlisters so I just had him bring home a sandwich tray so yes we served sandwiches and fruit!
Love McAlister’s! That sounds great.
