We are excited to introduce another weekly series to the blog, Fashion Friday!
We have a very special friend and boutique owner (our favorite boutique ever!) Jamie Scott who will be collaborating with us each week to bring you, our beloved readers, some fun and simple fashion tips and showing off new inventory for her boutique, Ella + Scott!
Ella + Scott is located in downtown Beaumont, Texas in the historic Mildred Building, and she is certainly a trend setter in the area and nationwide with her soon-to-be-revamped website that will accommodate national orders! Yes please!
Jamie has created an amazing boutique experience with fun, but super chic clothing, jewelry, and shoes, and most importantly impeccable customer service with girls who want to actually help you find clothes that make you feel good, not just make a big sale.
It’s comfortable and every time I go I feel at home and welcome which is authentic to who Jamie is as a person.
I met Jamie a couple years ago, and have since designed part of her boutique, and will soon be updating that design to better meet the needs of her customers when they are super busy (which is quite often!) I have also designed her office, and will also soon be working on her home! More on that later!
If you know me personally you know my usual outfit consists of work-out clothes, or jeans and t-shirts, so I am super excited to pick up all of Jamie’s tips each week!
To kick start “Fashion Friday”, Jamie is discussing one of her most popular items this season…leggings! So let’s get to it…meet Jamie!
I know, gorgeous right?!
“This season’s hottest trend has most definitely been the leggings! We have been seeing them in all colors and patterns and on people of all ages and sizes. Not only are they super comfortable and versatile, but also they are very inexpensive ($12-$14) and fit into anyone’s budget. We have styled some of our best selling leggings in a multitude of ways to show you how versatile they can be no matter your style.” – Jamie
“These solid fleece lined leggings have been all the rage and if you have tried them on then you will know exactly why. They are extremely comfortable and warm and so easy to style. The main thing to keep in mind when wearing leggings is to cover your backside. These are not jeans and are meant to be worn with long tunics or dresses.”- Jamie
“We’ve been seeing so many people wearing leggings this season, but the key to styling them is to keep it SIMPLE. These patterned leggings are meant to make a bold statement so let them speak for themselves. Try pairing them with a solid colored loose tunic that isn’t too matchy matchy and some boots and viola!”- Jamie
“This outfit is a great way to take an outfit from day to night. We took the same outfit and just added a blazer to it. You could also add a pop of color by throwing on a red blazer or any other color as well. It gives it a polished and sophisticated look.”- Jamie
“This outfit ties in several of the trends that we are loving at the moment.

If you’re in a hurry in the morning, then this is the perfect go-to-outfit”- Jamie
“Not sure how to style burgundy leggings? We made this outfit a little dressier by adding a navy tunic that is more of a blouse but long enough to cover all the appropriate places.”- Jamie
“The military trend has been extremely popular this season and we are LOVING it! Being a Texas girl, means that we love us some camo! The key to wearing camo is to keep everything else as simple as possible. For a casual look, we added some military inspired boots and a long black tunic. For a dressier look, we styled the leggings with a silk tunic and tall boots with a heel to add a little height.
This trend is meant to be fun and easy so give it a try, we promise you will love it!”- Jamie
