Happy Tuesday y’all!

Now that Memorial Day is behind us (thank you to all of our servicemen and servicewomen who keep us safe!) summer has officially begun around our parts of Texas! This is more so evident in the temperatures the past couple of days right?!

I decided our front door needed a mini-makeover for the new season, so why not go a little colorful. After all it’s just a door, you can easily change it if you don’t like it. But for me, I think it now looks like my front door is smiling at me when I come home, and that makes my heart happy.

One day I hope we have a home with a big beautiful front poor, but since we are still in our “starter home” it’s important to me that we make the most of what we have, and work together to continue to bring joy and love into our home, even if that means a brightly colored front door. 🙂

frontdoorsteps

1. Clean: I pressure washed the entire front door area, from the ceiling to concrete.

2. Add Some Color: Find a fun fresh paint color! I used Valspar’s Poppy Field!

3. Add some life: Add a hanging plant. I got this gorgeous ivy plant from Lowe’s and the hanging basket at Marshall’s. I already had the ceramic pot to plant in, so I bought a few more accent plants to add some more color and textures.

4. Welcome: I found this colorful and fun welcome mat at Target! I love that it even has the coral in it, it is perfect!

5. Add Personality: I added a little touch of personality with this vinyl decal I had made at a local sign business!

See easy-peesy y’all!
