Happy Sunday!
We are still playing catch up on past shoots, and today we are sharing our “southern couture” shoot that we did waaayy back in May!
It was published on Groom Sold Separately, on October 25, 2011 check out the feature for some more fabulous images!
But here are my fav’s!
I’m a Southern girl with a Southern heart, but I also have a flair for the “couture” fashion and design that comes with the major cities, such as New York. I wanted to inspire brides that may feel the same way, the brides who want to honor their upbringing of the “down home, porch sitting, iced tea sipping” way of life, but also integrate the “high-end couture” details that we all love to drool over in the magazines.
In order to nod to the high-end I knew I had to use crystals (compliments of B&B Solutions!), glass, and fur. I used fur fabric to cover the seat of the ghost chairs and added the lumbar pillows provided by “K & K It’s a Hit Events”.
The glass balls were hung to make a “skirt” around the table, and the piece of glass on top of the crystal candlesticks was cut special for this shoot.
Grace Mathis owner of Beauty by Grace did our model’s (Jessica Merendino) hair and make-up!
Our fantastic stationary, table number wine bottle, favors, and lumbar pillows we proivded by K & K Designs, It’s a Hit Events!
We have a incredibly talented friend, Mary Evelyn, owner of Mary Evelyn Studio Art, who painted us the fabulous small canvases to accent our table setting! What a fantastic idea for favors for your guests, custom canvases for each of them to go home with!
